Acts 2:42)
The Lord's supper is a weekly memorial of Jesus' death. As Jesus directed, we partake of the bread and grape juice to remind us of his body and blood. (Matt. 26:26-29; Acts 20:7; 1Cor. 11:23-26)
Prayer is our means of speaking to God. We approach the Heavenly Father through Jesus to express thanks, to make requests, and to state many other concerns. (Phil. 4:6-7; 1 Pet. 3:12)
Singing praises to God gives voice to thoughts of deepest reverence. As we sing together we also teach one another of God's greatness and of our duty. (Eph. 5:19-20; Col. 3:16-17)
Giving some of our income back to God is an act that demonstrates dependence on God and gratitude for our blessings. We contribute to the Lord's work each first day of the week.
(Luke 6:38; 1 Cor. 16:1-2; Acts 20:35)
Bible study and preaching bring us God's word with explanation and application. We seek to know his will and to better learn how to practice it. (Matt. 28:20; 2 Tim. 2:15; Eph. 4:15)
